We were asked to survey all areas of the business premises, including offices, walkways, warehouse, production as well as external lights. As the client is a printer they required a specific guaranteed colour of light, this was 5000k cool white, this was extremely important due to the way that they cross check print materials and proofs before starting print runs. They wanted to reduce overall electrical lighting running costs, reduce their carbon impact on the environment and reduce maintenance requirements, as well as hitting a required ROI. Installation had to be completed during the normal operating hours of the business, so we had to be able to work around the clients schedule.
This was a perfect project for us due to our ability to produce specific LED light colours, whereas most LED suppliers will provide range colours between 5000 – 5500k or 4500-5000k cool white we are able to produce a perfect 5000k cool white. We were able to supply LED within all areas with this colour, which now meant the client could take any proof into any room and see the true colour.
We used a combination of our INVO LED 600×600 panels, and INVO 5ft single and twin LED baton fittings in offices and INVO LED High Bay lights, fitted with sensors within the warehouse and without sensors in the production areas. In many areas we were able to half the amount of physical light fittings due to the increased light output offered by our INVO lights.
In all WC’s and corridors we used our new intelligent sensor lights to replace the existing 2D fittings. These maximise efficiency by only using the power needed to boost ambient light levels, or to illuminate when occupancy is detected. The improvement in light quality is significant.
The installation took place during the normal business hours with our team working long shifts to complete the installation as fast as possible, so as to reduce impact on the business.
